Fall 2025

March
March 3 Registration appointment times will be available for all currently enrolled students to review on myUSC, OASIS and Web Registration.

Students may obtain D-clearance and department advisement.

August
August 18-22 Registration for fall semester continues.
August 22 Last day to register and settle without late fee for session 001.
August 25 Fall semester classes begin.
September
September 1 Labor Day, university holiday.
September 12 For courses in session 001:

  • Last day to register.
  • Last day to receive a refund.
  • Last day to enroll for a grade of Pass/No Plass or Audit.
  • Last day to purchase or waive Tuition Refund Insurance.
September 16 Last day to add/drop a Monday-only class without a mark of “W” and receive a refund, or change the Monday-only class to Pass/No Pass or Audit for session 001.
October
October 9 – 10 Fall Recess.
October 10 For courses in session 001:

  • Last day to change Pass/No Pass to a Letter Grade.
  • Last day to drop a course without a mark of “W” on the transcript.
November
November 11 Veterans Day, non-instructional day.
November 14 Last day to withdraw a course for session 001.
November 26-30 Thanksgiving holiday
December
December 5 Fall semester classes end.
December 6 – 9 Study days.
December 10 – 17 Final Exams.
December 10-23 Final grade submission via Grading and Roster System (GRS) for fall 2025, Session 001.

Limited Status Students ​

Limited status students may request fall 2025 enrollment starting April 17 by emailing the Registrar’s Office.

Spring 2026

October
October 6 Registration appointment times and permit to register information will be available for review online at my.usc.edu. Students may register through Web Registration.
October 28 Registration for continuing students begins.
January
January 2 – 9 Registration for spring semester continues.
January 9 Last day to register and settle without late fee for session 001.
January 12 Spring semester classes begin.
January 19 Martin Luther King Jr. Day, university holiday.
January 30 For courses in session 001:

  • Last day to register.
  • Last day to drop a class or receive a refund.
  • Last day to enroll for a grade of Pass/No Pass or Audit.
  • Last day to purchase or waive Tuition Refund Insurance.
February

Summer 2026

February
February 9 Summer 2026 schedule of classes available.
February 23 Registration for summer 2026 begins.
May
May 20 First six-week session begins.
May 25 Memorial Day observed, university holiday.
June
June 19 Juneteenth, non-instructional day.
June 24 Last day to purchase or waive Tuition Refund Insurance.
June 30 Last day of first session.
July
July 1 Second six-week session begins.
July 3-4 Independence Day observed, university holiday
August
August 11 Last day of summer classes.

Course Registration for Newly Admitted Students

Undergraduate

Newly admitted students register for classes during Welcome Trojans orientation. New students should check their USC email address for an invitation to sign up for orientation or visit the Orientation website for more information. Students receive an invitation once they have committed to enroll at USC.

Graduate

Newly admitted graduate students are assigned a default date of June 2 for the fall semester but should contact their academic department for more information about any orientation events they may offer.

Course Registration for Summer Courses

Change of Summer Schedule

Students may change their summer schedule via Web Registration. Schedule changes can be made according to the established deadlines on the Schedule of Classes for the respective course and session. For specific deadline dates, visit the “Classes Offered” section and click on the “Calendar” icon next to the course(s).

Last Day for Registration and Adding Classes

Please locate the course in the Schedule of Classes and click on the “Calendar” icon to view the registration deadlines.

Registration in the summer session does not ensure the privilege of registering for fall semester courses. Entering students who will register for fall must either enroll formally in the university or obtain permission from the Office of Admission.
