OASIS for Guests
In accordance with FERPA guidelines, parents and family members may not view their student’s academic and financial records unless the student has granted them access via an OASIS for Guests account. This account allows student-selected guest users to view grades, courses, degree progress, transfer credits, restrictions on the student’s account, and financial data.
To grant their relatives access to relatives, students should log in to myUSC and click on “OASIS.” In the “Other Services” tab, click on “Establish Guest Access,” and then follow the prompts. You may create up to six guest accounts. This authorization takes effect immediately and remains in effect until the student revokes it, or until it expires six years after authorization. Students may use OASIS to revoke access at any time.
To create an OASIS for Guests account for a parent or family member, the student will need to create a unique login and PIN for that guest. They can then authorize the release of their records to that guest user by clicking on “I Agree.”
Each guest will need the following credentials to log in to OASIS for Guests:
- The student’s USC ID.
- The Guest Login ID (created by the student).
- The Guest PIN (created by the student).
Note: Only students may create, revoke, and release Guest Login IDs and Guest PINs. If a parent forgets the USC ID, Guest Login ID, or Guest PIN, the student must be the to provide it.
Once a guest is granted access, they may log in using the button below. Authorization remains in effect until it is revoked or it expires (six years after authorization).
