Transfer Self-Reporting Tool for USC applicants

Thank you for using USC’s Transfer Self-Reporting Tool. Your participation in this new project will not affect how your application for admission is evaluated. However, if you are admitted and choose to transfer to USC, reporting your coursework will help us give you better, faster service. This would mean your transfer credit evaluation could be completed in time for your major department to make a course plan for you even before orientation and your first registration.

Please remember that the information you enter through this service is considered unofficial. You will still need to submit official transcripts after you are admitted. Only a transcript sent directly from your previous college to USC is considered official. (If you get a transcript and then upload it through the Admissions portal, it is not considered official.) Your official transcript will be used by us to confirm the information you enter yourself on this site. You don’t need to send “extra” transcripts, but don’t forget to provide another official transcript once your final grades are recorded for any spring or summer courses that are currently in progress.

Please feel free to review the rest of our Transfer Credit Services website to learn about transfer credit policies, procedures and services available to our incoming students.

What happens next?

The Office of Academic Records & Registrar will receive the courses you reported electronically. We will first compare your classes against our large database of previously transferred courses from colleges all over the country, and then we will look for any classes you took that are new to us. We will evaluate those new courses so that if you are admitted, we will already have determined how your classes will transfer. If you have any questions about this Self-Reporting Tool or would like to offer any feedback about your experience with it, feel free to contact us at transfercredit@usc.edu.

Please remember that your use of this self-reporting tool and the future evaluation of your transfer credit are not part of USC Admissions and will not affect your application for admission to USC. If you have questions about the status of your application or if you have more information to submit, please contact your admission representative, or if you have any additional questions, please visit our Knowledge Base:
